Hello everyone!! Welcome to Mah Jongg for everyone. The page will explain how the group works. Please read carefully.
In Mah Jongg for Everyone we play American Mah Jongg. If you don’t know what a Mah Jongg card is or don’t play with jokers, then you haven’t played American Mah Jongg. If you don’t play American Mah Jongg, you must come to a teaching session first.
1) The first and third Sunday at 1pm of every month will be at Mercury Café, 1505 W Chicago Ave in the city.
2) The first Sunday of every month will include a teaching and experience players session, both starting at 1pm. This will be the only opportunity for brand new players to learn the game.
* For those of you who have been taught at least once, you are considered “experienced.”
* Please understand that while I am at a table teaching there are plenty of other tables for new and experienced players. As long as there are at least 2 players, you can play Mahj.
3) The second and fourth Friday at 7pm of every month will be in (or near) the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. If you have any suggestions, let me and Bronwyn and know.
Note: If you have Mah Jongg set or Mah Jongg card, it is helpful if you bring them with you to sessions.
Summary of each month:
Please remember to bring your Mah Jongg set or card when you come to sessions.
* First Sunday at 1pm in the city – teaching session and new and experienced.
* Second Friday at 7pm in Schaumburg – Non-teaching session; only for new and experienced players.
* Third Sunday at 1pm in the city – Non-teaching session; only for new and experienced players.
* Fourth Friday at 7pm in Schaumburg – Non-teaching session; only for new and experienced players.
Hopefully with this new set schedule, everyone will be able to find a session that works best for you. If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
Cathy and Bronwyn
