You are cordially invited to Meetup with other fun folks to play the ancient Chinese tile game called Mahjong.
Mahjong is a game for four players that involves skill, strategy, and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck!
The object of the game is to build complete melds of 3 identical tiles (called pung or or kong) or a meld of 3 consecutive tiles (called a chow) from your personal 'wall' of 13 tiles. These melds, plus one pair of like tiles make up a winning mah jong hand! The first person to achieve this goal wins the game. Drawing the winning tile completes the player's set of 14.
Both new and experienced players are welcome to this group! We currently have 3 game sets in play.
Fun is the real goal...but of course we all want to win! We're a mixture of laughter and concentration... come join in!
